Statement on the Martyred Copts in Libya
The Coptic Orthodox Church headed by Pope Tawadros II lays in the hands of God – in this critical time – its innocent martyrs, assured that their great homeland will not rest until the evil perpetrators are justly punished for their evil crime. We also have faith in the role of the country with all its institutions and the concern of the officials for the rights of all citizens, inside and outside the country, which showed since the beginning of this crisis. We join the families of our beloved children and pay condolences to the whole country knowing that their blood screams in front of the fair Judge who does not wink or sleep and He will punish everyone for what he committed. We pray to God to protect Egypt and its unity and that peace prevails all over the country.
