New Ministry: The Coptic Olympics
The Diocese joyfully announces the beginning of a new Family & Youth Ministry, a multi-sports competition for girls and boys of all ages. This ministry will be called The Coptic Olympics and will be organised by the newly-formed Coptic Olympics Committee comprising of representatives from each church in the Diocese. By God’s grace this ministry will start in 2011.
The committee would like to set a date for the event which will suite everyone as soon as possible. There is a poll on http://copticolympics.org for this.
UPDATE: The FIRST EVER Coptic Olympics will be on the first weekend of July 2011 (mainly on Sat 2nd)
We pray that this new ministry fulfill its true goal in bringing together the children of Christ so that we may all glorify His name.
