The Annunciation is all about Joy. Jesus Himself said Peace I leave with you My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Gods peace is stronger than the joy of the world and that is what I should feel. The joy of the world has a materialistic nature thus it is subject to vanish. St. John wrote that your joy might be full. The joy of the world is not full. It is the joy of Christ that is full. In fact joy and peace are fruits of the Holy Spirit. Fr.
