The Annunciation is all about ‘Joy.’ Jesus Himself said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.” God’s peace is stronger than the joy of the world and that is what I should feel. The joy of the world has a materialistic nature, thus it is subject to vanish. St. John wrote, “that your joy might be full.” The joy of the world is not full. It is the joy of Christ that is full.
