If we wish to understand the power of Christ’s blood, we should go back to the ancient account of its prefiguration in Egypt. “Christ held Himself in His hands when He gave His Body to His disciples saying: ‘This is My Body.’ No one partakes of this Flesh before he has adored it. In baptism believers are anointed with oil by analogy to his anointing.” – St. Jerome #spikenard #anointing #fragrantoil #pascha #holyweek #dailyreadings #coptic #orthodox

Let no one say, ―I have but one talent and can do nothing with it.‖ For this end God gave us speech, and hands, and feet, and strength of body and mind and understanding, that we might use all these things both for our own salvation and for our neighbour‘s advantage.” – St. John Chrysostom #useyourgifts #glorifyGodwithyourtalents…
