“What He declares, here, is nothing but this: “Belief in Me is not an ordinary thing. It does not come by means of human evidence or proofs. It rather needs a proclamation from above and a spirit whose disposition is good. God attracts that spirit so that it may accept the proclamation.” Saint John Chrysostom . “I shall not cast out the person who comes to Me: that is to say, I shall not throw him like a useless vessel…as a despised person and he will not remain without a share of My care. I shall gather him into My…

“Accordingly, I beseech you, let us so perform all our actions that we may not fail to obtain such glory as this. To obtain it is by no means difficult, if we desire it, or arduous, if we apply ourselves to it. For, “If we endure, we shall also reign.” What is the meaning of “If we endure”? If we patiently bear tribulations and persecutions; if we walk the narrow path. The narrow path is unattractive by nature but becomes easy when we choose to follow it, because of our hope for the future.” – St. John Chrysostom #endure #endurance…

Trust that by such a struggle, you will receive comfort and enthusiasm, from your prayers or during your prayers and that you will feel that your state of separation from God is over once and for all. You will feel, too, that you have not just been repeating empty words in vain, like the unbelievers, but that you have been pouring out your whole soul before God. – Pope Shenouda . #DailyReadings #Orthodox #Coptic #CopticOrthodox #TrustInGod #Trust #SeekHim

Contemplations
The sinner follows another path, not God’s path. The sinner has cut himself off from God through his behaviour, his manner and his will. His will has become something other than God’s will. He begins to want what God does not want. He becomes a person who challenges God fearlessly and breaks His commandments. In breaking God’s commandments, he will have also cut himself off from God’s love. – Pope Shenouda . #AbideInHim #WalkJustAsHeWalked #Abide #CopticOrthodox #Coptic #Orthodox #DailyReadings

“Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.” – St. Augustine . “God’s power is able to perform wonders with you, but it awaits your faith.” – H.H.
