Statement on the Departure of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 8th September 2022

The Coptic Orthodox Diocese of the Midlands, under the auspice of His Grace Bishop Missael, wishes to convey its upmost condolences to the Royal Family, the United Kingdom and the World for the departure of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty was a bright light for seventy years as the Head of State and the Supreme Governor of the Church of England; presenting God to the nation and the world in her benevolence, words and example. Her warmth and support to the Coptic Orthodox Church will never be forgotten. We are praying that the Prince of Peace, to Whom she considered her anchor, reposes her soul in the Paradise of Joy, consoles her family and grants wisdom to His Majesty King Charles III.
