Our Homes Are Open Churches

Dear my beloved,
In these holy and blessed days, I would like to send you all my best regards, prayers for you and your families, particularly during these difficult times, which we – and the whole world – are going through.
I sincerely hope that you benefit from these blessed days by fasting and praying. Let’s pray for the salvation of the world, pleading to our loving and compassionate Father to have mercy on us and the whole world.
And although the doors of our churches are currently shut, yet our hearts are always open to pray, and our homes are open churches, through which we raise our prayers and supplications to our Dear Lord.
I would like to encourage you -my beloved children- to go on Christian sites on the internet or TV to watch channels such as CTV on which there is a lot of liturgies , hymns and prayers. We all know that HH Pope Tawadros II prays liturgies and Holy Week prayers , also the Easter Eve Mass, and these are mainstreamed live from St Bishoy’s monastery at Natroun Valley, so let’s live those holy days and pray those holy liturgies with HH Pope Tawadros in our homes. Please make sure that we should observe these prayers with reverence and humility, as we do in the church, as our late Pope Shenouda III said :” The true church is the home in which your children are brought up”.

I hope we can all meditate and reflect on the following verses:

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God” Romans 8:28

احبائى الشعب الغالى
فى هذه الأيام المقدسة المباركة أبلغكم تحياتي و دعواتي الخاصة لكم و لعائلاتكم فى هذه الظروف الصعبة التى نمر بها و يمر بها العالم كله.
أرجو ان تستفيدوا من هذه الأيام المباركة بالصلاة و الصوم. الصلاة من اجل خلاص العالم طالبين من ابينا الحنون ان يتراءف و يتحنن على العالم. و مع ان الكنائس مغلقة فى هذه الأيام لكن قلوبنا دايما مفتوحة للصلاة، و بيوتنا كنائس مفتوحة دائما ترفع الصلوات و الطلبات إلى الله القدير. أشجعكم يا أولادي المحبوبين ان تشاهدوا القداسات و الصلوات على القنوات الأرثوذكسية على الإنترنت و نحن جميعًا نعلم ان صاحب الغبطة قداسة البابا تاوضروس الثاني يصلى قداسات و صلوات أسبوع الآلام و قداس عيد القيامة المجيد بالبث المباشر من دير القديس العظيم الأنبا بيشوي بوادي النطرون، فيا ليتنا كلنا نعيش هذه الأيام المقدسة بصلواتها مع قداسة البابا تاوضروس و نعيش هذه القداسات في بيوتنا بكل الخشوع و الوقار كأننا فعلًا في الكنيسة و لا ننشغل بأي واجبات أو أعمال منزلية أثناءها، ملاحظين ان بيوتنا كلها كنائس كما قال مثلث الرحمات البابا شنوده الثالث “ان الكنيسة الحقيقية هى البيت الذى يتربى فيه الأطفال. ”
ليتنا نتامل فى الآيات الجميلة المطمئنة التالية:
” لان كل الأشياء تعمل معا للخير للذين يحبون اللة” (رو ٢٨:٨)
“افرحوا في الرب كل حين و أقول أيضا افرحوا” (فيليبى ٤:٤)
“ها أنا معكم كل الأيام و إلى انقضاء الدهر” (مت ٢٠:٢٨)
