Archdeacon Dr Mokhlis Mina
On Saturday 18th November 2023, Archdeacon Dr Mokhlis Mina departed into the Glory of Our Lord, peacefully in his sleep and surrounded by his family. He was born to Mina and Angel on 24th May 1942, and studied Medicine at Cairo University. He married his wife, Mary, in his hometown of Tanta on 23rd July 1970. He moved to England to eventually work in his own practice in Solihull as a General Practitioner, and became one of the founding members of the Coptic Orthodox Church in Birmingham under His Grace Bishop Missael. He was ordained an Archdeacon on 22nd November 2015. He was a loving husband, brother, father, uncle, and grandfather and lived a joyful and fruitful life of prayer and service.
‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.’ (Mt 25:21)

انتقل رئيس الشمامسة الدكتور مخلص مينا فجر يوم السبت الموافق ١٨ نوفمبر ٢٠٢٣ إلى الأمجاد السماوية بسلام أثناء نومه ومحاطاً بأفراد أسرته. ولد دكتور مخلص فى ٢٤ مايو ١٩٤٢ لوالديه مينا وأنجيل، ودرس الطب بجامعة القاهرة، وتزوج بدكتورة ماري فى ٢٣ يوليو ١٩٧٠ بمدينته طنطا. ثم سافر مع زوجته إلى إنجلترا حيث عمل كطبيب عام في سوليهال وذلك في عيادته الخاصة، وصار أحد الأعضاء المؤسسين للكنيسة القبطية الأرثوذكسية فى برمنجهام تحت رعاية نيافة الأنبا ميصائيل أسقف برمنجهام وتوابعها، وقد تمت رسامته رئيساً للشمامسة في ٢٢ نوفمبر ٢٠١٥. كان دكتور مخلص زوجاً وأخاً وأباً وعماً وجداً محباً من قلب طاهر، وقد عاش حياة سعيدة ومثمرة بالصلاة والخدمة.
“نِعِمَّا أَيُّهَا الْعَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ وَالأَمِينُ! كُنْتَ أَمِينًا فِي الْقَلِيلِ فَأُقِيمُكَ عَلَى الْكَثِيرِ. اُدْخُلْ إِلَى فَرَحِ سَيِّدِكَ.” (مت ٢٥: ٢١)
