Why is the Diocese events service called “Go2Galilee”?
After the resurrection Christ said “tell my brethren to Go to Galilee, and there they will see me.” (Matt 28:10). So, at all these spiritual events we can consider each as an invitation from Christ to meet Him there – “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them” (Matt 20:18)
What’s the point of booking online (using Go2Galilee)? What if I don’t?
If you don’t book online using Go2Galilee, the event organisers may turn you away where they are unable to accomodate late arrivals or are resticted by Health & Safety regulations. Booking online through Go2Galilee is compulsory for all Diocese Events unless otherwise stated. Go2Galilee allows the organisers to manage event expenses efficiently and to collect every individual’s details for the purposes of accommodation, workshops, travel arrangements, emergency contact details and future correspondence. It is also worth bearing in mind that booking online will save you time and maybe money.
Why are there Terms & Conditions?
Upon registering for an event through Go2Galilee, you have agreed to the Diocese Go2Galilee Service Terms & Conditions. These set out our policy on registering false details, cancellations, behaviour, event rules and what your responsibilities are by registering. By agreeing, failing to comply may result in your booking being rejected.
I want to book for more than one person. What’s the best way to do this?
We have an option for group bookings, where as with individual ones, all data should be filled for each person. If you are not booking for a family but rather a group of people, it is best to let them all book individually so that each can pay directly for themselves and will recieve their own confirmation code, although this is your decision to make.
Are payments processed securely?

Yes, we use PayPal and Stripe to process our payments securely. We do not store or have access to your payment details. With PayPal, after you have filled in your details you will be redirected to the PayPal website for payment and afterwards, redirected back to our website. With Stripe, you will input the payment details on our website which are sent to Stripe. This is done via a secure SSL connection.
Do I need to have a PayPal account to pay through PayPal?
Paypal doesn’t require you to have an account at PayPal or even sign up for one.
Do I need to register the details of an infant as a separate member in the group booking?
For any infant under 2 years of age we will only need their name provided in the “comments” box. For an infant above 2 years of age they should be regarded as an individual member of the group.
I didn’t receive a confirmation email or thank you message after I booked for an event
In this case we strongly advise you to contact us straight away and ask us to check for your booking.
Is there a quicker or easier way to directly go to the Go2Galilee page?
Yes, there is. You can type in www.go2galilee.org into your browser and it will take you directly to the Go2Galilee page.
I don’t want to register right now / registration for the event I wanted to book for is now closed or full. What do I do?
The best time to book for an event is certainly as soon as booking online has opened. Booking late will almost certainly result in extra charges (as it usually costs money for organisers to make changes to already established arrangements). There may be a deadline set but be aware that places may be fully booked up before this time! Many events will then operate a waiting list which will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis. If you can’t register for any reason right now, contact us straight away to give us a better idea of your situation so that we can assist you further.
I’m having problems or difficulties booking online using Go2Galilee. What should I do?
If you’re struggling to use Go2Galilee contact us straight away and we will assist you as soon as we can. If you don’t contact us, we can’t explain to the organisers why you are not registered.
