Final Three Papal Candidates Announced
On 29th October 2012 H.E. Metropolitan Pachomious, the Patriarchal locum tenens, officially announced the final three candidates for the 118th Patriarch of the Coptic Orthodox Church. The candidates are as follows:
- H.G. Bishop Rophael
- H.G. Bishop Tawadros of El-Bahaira
- Fr. Rafael Avva Mina
The Altar Ballot will take place on Sunday 4th November during the Divine Liturgy at St. Mark’s Cathedral, Cairo.
There will be a Church-wide fast preceding the Altar Ballot between 31 October and 2 November.
